Planning has started for Territory Resources Week, scheduled for the week starting 7 September 2009. A core conference consisting of conjointly run mining and offshore conferences will be the centrepiece of the week running from 9 to 11 September at Darwin’s newly completed convention centre. Other events for the conference week are in the pipeline including a planned investors’ seminar expected to attract national and international attention. Further information will be available in early 2009 for potential exhibitors and attendees. |

The NTRC AGM was held at the Holiday Inn Esplanade on Friday 28 November. While uneventful, there was a need to slightly amend the Constitution and this was agreed unanimously. |
Friday May 18th
Michael Angwin from the Australian Uranium Association. Michael will be giving us an overview of the Australian uranium industry with particular reference to the exploration and mining of uranium and its future, recent reports into the industry and nuclear power for Australia. Additionally, Michael will speak on the issues facing the industry both nationally and internationally and the challenges in the future.
Friday June 15th
Ian Satchwell, Director of Acil Tasman will be speaking on 'The transforming NT Economy': opportunities and challenges for mining. |
