To policy development....

The NTRC concentrates on influencing policy decisions as they relate to the resources industries in the Northern Territory.  Being a member offers the opportunity to directly influence policy development and indirectly influence the direction of your industry.

Committees deal with policy detail in the broad sweep of activities in the industry.  Safety, the environment, land access, education and related areas are all influenced by our committees.  We contribute to infrastructure policy, roads, rail, port and the interfaces between them.  We comment on financial and taxation matters and engage with the NT Government in developing their response to many Territory and national issues.

To industry performance....

Members contribute to the organisation and content of the Mine Rescue Competition, Territory Resources Week and a wide range of other information and business exchanges through committee work. We provide opportunity for members to interact in non-competitive areas.

In the information loop

We average an event every month where there is interesting information provided, often by fellow members and where there is a chance to catch up with colleagues.  There are regular briefings by Government and a commitment at the Ministerial level to interact formally with the NTRC several times each year.
