Scott Perkins, CEO

scottScott is a former Army Officer and Correctional Centre Manager. He has been in involved in membership based advocacy organisations since 2001 when he commenced work as Chief Executive of Mackay Canegrowers, representing over 1000 growers in the Mackay region, Queensland, Australia's largest sugar growing area.

A major task during his tenure was to navigate Mackay Canegrowers through a comprehensive change process as a result of de-regulation of the Queensland sugar industry. He also gained considerable expertise in contract negotiation with sugar milling companies during this period and dealt with a diverse range of agri-business issues including sugar marketing, commodity markets, transport and logistics, agricultural economics and water politics.

As part of numerous industry and Government panels and consultative groups he contributed to the surface and groundwater assessments and allocation schemes in the Pioneer River catchment, water quality strategies, and regional water strategies. Through this activity, he developed a keen interest in sustainable farming and was intimately involved in Natural Resource Management strategies in the Great Barrier Reef catchment area.

He was appointed CEO of the Northern Territory Resources Council in May 2008. He is married and has two adult sons.

Judy Orban, Office Manager

judyJudy has a broad base of experience in office management including account management with Telstra in NSW and the NT. Prior to joining the NTRC she managed property and tenancies for Defence Housing, but also has filled numerous and diverse positions with DHA in office management.
